Update: Sold for $110.  I am going to try with all my might to give my mommy a finder's bonus - we will see if I can sneak it down her shirt without her knowing!

I found this great desk for $20- the same desk is on ebay for $250 and it didn't come with the matching chair.  It is in incredible shape.

I found this beautiful twin bed in awesome shape for $35.  The rails were broken, however I had some left over from the red headboards I sold that the lady didn't need - so no problem.

Sectional, love seat and ottoman

Update: SOLD!!!!  for $400.  I put $25 of cleaner into this, I my profit was $325!

I found this sectional for $50.  It was covered with cat hair, but otherwise in great shape- down filled, comfy and massive. I have high hopes for this sale - here's hoping I sell it for $550.  I had to rent a steam cleaner and about 12 bottles of febreeze too.

I bought this beautiful table for $88.  I had to upholster the chairs - but I had some fabric from Laurens old curtains that look great with the chairs.

I found this cabinet for $7 at a yard sale. Before I bought my hallway armoire this is what I planned on keeping and repainting.  But, I did buy my armoire- so I am selling it.  It is solid wood and very charming.

I bought this set for $15 and then spent $12 on paint.  I think the right person will love them- I am guessing a bachelor:).  Here's hoping.

Update: Sold for $145 to a girl who could not have been happier.  

I fell in love with these amazing chairs and they threw the cheap table in too for $50.  I invested in $10 in paint for the table and touched up the chairs- I think the set looks too darn cute.  

A treasure to keep!

Update: sold the hall table and mirror for $65, so I am counting it as a $40 profit!

I have transitioned our home in the last few years from a more elegant feel to more comfy classic with a twist.  This hall piece was all that remained of my previous elegance and it wasn't working well, so I was keeping my eye out of the perfect piece- my mom found it for me!!! 

This is from World Market and solid wood.  I paid $25 for it and it is in great shape.  It has given me MUCH NEEDED storage space - my hall storage closet is screaming "Thank you!!" It matches my furniture perfectly too- form and function can coincide!

I bought this chair for $5 forever ago and did a not perfect refinish job on it.  They have a chair almost exactly like it at pottery barn for $399- craziness.  So of course I used this little detail in my ad.

Update: Sold for $150! 

I was getting discouraged about not finding much on Saturday (and missing some treasures by moments) when my sweetest husband called me and told me he found me a table and chairs and a desk.   He bought this table and chairs for $35- it is in awesome shape- way to work it husband!  The staging job is not great I realize- but the sun was glaring through the blinds and I had been refinishing all day.

I found this table and chairs for $15.  I had to reupholster the chairs, but the table top was in perfect condition and the chairs in good shape too.   I spent $5 on fabric- so I have $20 invested in this table.  Starting price $95.

Desk and chair

Sold for $60.  

Found a few fun things this week, but most of them require a little work.  This little desk was just perfect though. I bought it for $20 and hopefully will be able to sell if for $50 or $60.  Sadly I am not getting the usual bites on my goodies- everyone if feeling the Christmas pain I think.

So who knew that Santa shops at garage sales?  He found me some goodies that I just love!I got both of these cute pics for $5.  I obviously need to rub some acrylic black paint in the cracks- but they are chunky and great. They look lovely in my hallway. 

Before I started shopping at garage sales I shopped at Marshalls and Ross. So I will list the prices of all my treasures on my shelves.  
Chest: Marshalls 12.99, awesome plates: g-sale $1 each, vases: g-sale $1 each, pot: clearance target 3.75, Elephant: Marshalls: $10,  

Mirror: g-sale $5, treasured pots: g-sale $5/each (retail $80 each), little table: Ross $10, Iron Candle stick: g-sale $1.  

Again, beauty can be obtained on any budget!  I must say though that I am officially hooked to deals- even with pay increases I still prefer the hunt!

Card Table and Chairs

So typically I don't buy anything that I think is horrible, but with no sales after Christmas I bought this card table and awful chairs for $5.

I sold the card table for $18 and asking the same for the chairs. Someone is coming to look at them within the next hour or so. Chairs sold for $18. Yipee!! Maybe I should give scary stuff a try more often!

Pier 1 Goodies

There have been NO garage sales this past few weeks - my little business and empty garage are a little bit sad(ok, not the garage so much, it is leaping for joy!).  I did find these cuties today. I got both of them for $15.
