Girls bedroom set

I had this set too long. Loved it, it was from Bombay company. . someone came today and low balled me and I said, "no way Jose." Then I called them a few hours later "I'm a sucker, all right."

I bought this set for $40, sold it for $150.

I bought this table and chairs for $30. Love the chairs, tons of potential but a bit beaten up. Didn't feel like taking that project on. Sold it for $60.

Bedroom set makeover!

I bought this set thinking it was just great for $125. Sadly no one else thought it was as great as I did - freakin' chrome. I have shyed away from the refinishing because I don't have the time, but was aching for a project I think. I removed the chrome bar, painted it black($35 in paint), distressed it and stained it. It looks so pretty. Still wasn't getting the bites I wanted, so agreed to sell it for $225. Got a deposit and then she called and said she had wasn't able to get it after all and wanted her deposit back. WHAT? Frustrated, I reposted it and just got $275 for it! Yippeee! I'll have to thank the girl when I give her deposit back. I touched up the headboard since this pic and it looks perfecto.

Sales!

I had 4 different people show up at the same time to buy stuff yesterday. Loved it! And another one yesterday morning and this morning. . love getting that sweet dinero out of my garage and in my pocket (aka sign the kids up for summer sports). Easter finds

Easter weekend isn't the best weekend to g-sale, so I took what I could get! Purchased the table for $20, sold for $45, purchased the coffee table set for $15, sold for $30. I had hoped for a little more on these guys, but I've got to keep this stuff movin'!

I bought this gigantic oak executive desk for $50, sold for $260. It weighed probably 600 pounds. . ridiculous! It was 8 feet long and 3 1/2 feet deep. . I was worried I would find someone who wanted something this massive. Luckily I did and he had a crew of 5 men to haul it away. Bought the bunk bed for $50, sold for $110 which was too low, but they caught me in a lazy mood where I didn't want to set them up to make a few extra bucks.

I bought this ikea sectional for $60, sold for $275! Wahooooo. Totally wish I could just sell sectionals, they go so quickly!

found several treasures this weekend, but didn't have to spend as much on them as I did last time! I bought these Ethan Allen bookshelves for $40 and sold them for $100, bought these ten chairs for $30, sold them for $80

Glass top

So, I think I am done with glass top tables because everyone else seems to be. I bought this guy for $60 and sold it for a whoppin' $69. It was neat though because I sold it to a return shopper whom I had apparently inspired with my side business. She has been refinishing stuff and reselling it because I gave her the idea. I love that I have a small following and that it is making their lives better.

Dresser set

I bought these solid wood cuties for $45. My in-laws are buying to match a bed they had - it will be an awesome match. Sold for $100 . . which may seem steep, but keep in mind they are solid wood and I had pay gas and rent a uhaul for $120 to cart the weekend finds. I'm a little nicer now right?. . . They are very lovely.

Day bed

Bought this guy for $45, couldn't find change so gave it to a couple of ladies who were buying it for their friend who's kiddos were sleeping on the floor for $140. Sad and selfless.

I bought this Ashley furniture table for $50 and then $15 in fabric and touch up supplies. Sold it for $325. Another weekend where I wish I had a bigger house to decorate. Such pretty stuff.

Arrowhead garage sales

I hit the arrowhead garage sales this weekend. If the quality of garage sale items is any indicator of how well the economy is doing, then I have to say things are looking up. I bought some beautiful stuff this weekend. I spent about 5 times more than I usually spend and I hope it pays off . . . I bought these two beautiful beds from the same man for $160. I sold the white bed (which was awesome) for $180. Sold mission bed for $140.
